A BIBLE STORY CONFIRMED (EZRA)

An item was discovered in 1879 by Archaeologists in the area known today as Iraq (Biblical Babylon). This item was named "The Cyrus Cylinder" and just 9 inches long. It recorded something that King Cyrus of Persia did 2500 years ago. He released a group of captive Hebrews in Babylon to return home to Jerusalem to rebuild their cities, homes and temple.

The prophet Daniel had confessed his and his people's sins and had pleaded with God to end the Babylonian captivity. God sent an angel to Daniel and later "moved "King Cyrus to release the Hebrews. Cyrus's heart was changed and so he allowed the exiled Hebrews to go Home.

Proverbs 21:1 states: "The King's heart is in the hand of the Lord, He turneth it whenever he will"

THE ISRAELITE CROSSING OF THE RED SEA

The Bible account of the holding back of the waters of the Red Sea (Hebrew words: Yam Suph, meaning ("Sea of Weeds) during the Israelite crossing has a striking parallel in a phenomenon which occurred at Bristol, England, where a prolonged gale held back 19 feet of tidal water for several hours.

This remarkable occurrence furnishes a convincing rebuttal of "modern criticism" the waters of the "Sea of Weeds" (Red Sea) which the Israelites crossed, were held back as the result of a similar application of natural forces.

The miracle lay in the fact that Almighty God creator and controller of the forces of nature  produced the gale at the precise time and place required for the salvation of Israel.
